At the “Disparities in Interventional Cardiology” session at the Cardiovascular Research Technologies (CRT) 2025 meeting, held March 8-11, in Washington, D.C., experts presented compelling data and discussed the barriers that limit diverse representation in the field, ranging from clinical trials and interventional procedures to the practitioners themselves. They also conferred on strategies to drive meaningful progress in reducing these gaps, while acknowledging the difficulties of overcoming the inherent biases on which the current system is structured.
