CHAPTER NETWORKING The Chapter Networking Group meets regularly via conference call. If you are considering organizing a chapter and have questions, or if you already have organized a chapter and can give advice, etc., please join us. Calls are every other month, the third Wednesday of the month at 7pm Central time. Please send your contact info to Nicole Shore at director@sicp.com. We will include you in our mailing list. Our schedule is: July 18 September 19 November 14 Lynne Jones, RN, RCIS, FSICP, SICP President, ljones@tomballhospital.org The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Chapter recently held its first RCIS Review Course on April 14-15th at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. We had over 80 attendees from various regions throughout the country. A very special thanks to St. Jude Medical, Cook Inc., Boston Scientific, Schering Plough, Vascular Solutions, Medtronic, Philips, Cordis Corp. and Abbott Vascular for sponsoring this event and making it possible. We held a meeting on April 24th, sponsored by Cordis. Durran Taylor, R.Ph, Pharm D, gave "A DES Update and Safety Presentation." The chapter's next meeting is scheduled for July 17th, place to be announced. Despite being under a code twist alert during the evening of the meeting, more than 30 professionals from around the city attended. A sincere thank-you goes out to Boston Scientific, who coordinated and sponsored the lovely dinner at Carmelo's. We started the evening by honoring our 2006-2007 President, Christine Gillett, RN, for a year well done! Dr. Paul Coffeen, electrophysiologist at the Heart Hospital of Austin, gave a very informative talk and slide presentation on Unnecessary RV Pacing. Our 2007-2008 officers are all in place, and plans are underway for our next quarterly meeting. Dr. Otero will be speaking on Controversial Cath Lab Topics. We encourage all professional in the Central Texas Area to attend....details will follow for July.
