BC3
SEAL Hemostatic Wound Spray
bc3tech.com

This hemostatic agent is a patented proprietary chemistry that is differentiated from all other hemostats due to the fact that the spray’s chemistry only sets up when it comes into contact with blood. It does not set up with water or other moisture or other liquids. It is aerosolized in a way that is not dangerous to the carrier, yet can deeply penetrate the wound bed. This delivery method is patented.
Judge's Feedback:
This lands exactly where field medicine needs innovation most: rapid, reliable bleeding control, even under brutal conditions. With a 36-month shelf life, nonreactivity to water, and zero reported allergic reactions, it offers predictable performance.

Cresilon
TRAUMAGEL
cresilon.com

TRAUMAGEL is a plant-based hemostatic gel that controls moderate to severe bleeding immediately. TRAUMAGEL is the only flowable hemostatic with U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance for temporary external use to control moderate to severe bleeding. It's the first hemostatic gel deployable by syringe, and the only hydrogel that requires no preparation for use in traumatic bleeding. Additionally, because it is a flowable hydrogel, TRAUMAGEL allows for easy access to hard-to-reach injuries and conforms to a wide range of injuries.
Judge's Feedback:
For me as an EMS clinician, wounds don't conform to a textbook size and shape. The ability for TRAUMAGEL to mold to the shape of the wound without losing its hemostatic properties makes it superior to hemostatic gauze.

EMS Innovations
RISER
ems-innovations.com

Created by a firefighter, the RISER is designed specifically for EMS and firefighters to lift supine patients from ground-level to an upright seated position. Measuring only 16"W x 72"L, the RISER has the same dimensions as a backboard and can fit into tight places that a gurney cannot. To use, a fall patient can be log-rolled, or the patient can slide onto it if they are able. After securing the patient with dual seatbelts, a first responder lifts from the head end.
Judge's Feedback:
What sets the RISER apart is how naturally it integrates into existing operations. While it is NOT a carrying device, it is in the family. The stair chair's friendly cousin came to help. No significant retraining, no vehicle modifications, just a device that makes one of the most injury-prone tasks markedly safer and more efficient.

EVS
