Prepping with Prisma: Improved outcomes before cellular tissue products

Proper wound bed preparation is critical for healing, and hard-to-heal wounds are often stuck in a prolonged inflammatory phase that fail to progress through the normal stages of healing. In a retrospective study using real-world registry data, Solventum compared healing outcomes between Prisma and Cellular Tissue Products (CTP) and CTP alone. The Prisma+CTP group showed a 24% higher chance of healing overall, with significant improvements in DFUs and VLUs. Despite higher risk factors in the Prisma+CTP group, improved healing outcomes suggest that wound bed prep with Prisma combined with CTPs benefits patient care.
