Transcript:

My name is Rani Khetarpal. I am the president of the Academy of Oncology Nurse and Patient Navigators, also known as AONN+. I'm excited to talk to you about our upcoming conference.

At this year's conference, we're excited to be focusing on several topics that are going to be really relevant for advanced practice practitioners. Some of those include navigation standards, screening guidelines, standardized navigation practices, reimbursement, which I know is a new topic that has popped up in the last couple of years for both return on investment and navigation, but also for program sustainability. We're going to be talking a little bit about integrative health.

As you can see, there's going to be a lot of different topics that we're going to be covering at our conference this year that are extremely relevant, including a couple of topics at our pre-conference that takes place on Thursday, November 6th, specifically talking about integrative health and oncology. That's a 4-hour session, as well as PIN reimbursement, Principal Illness Navigation (PIN) code reimbursement, on the success so far of those that have led the charge in implementing those codes, as well as looking at how that's best operationalized and the impact to the navigator and to the patient.

I’m really excited about this year's conference. In terms of our content, one thing that is going to be a little bit different this year that we're excited about is that as president, I'm going to be announcing our 2026 President's Mission, which is going to be a central focus of AONN+ moving forward, and really excited to talk about that at our president's gala that's taking place on Saturday evening of conference. It will also be a celebratory evening of awards and comradery and really excited to have you join us this year.
