Aidoc Secures $150M to Expand Clinical AI Platform into Oncology and Cardiology

Health care artificial intelligence (AI) company Aidoc has raised $150 million in new financing to accelerate development of its foundation-model-powered clinical decision support platform, with a focus on oncology and cardiovascular care. The company’s CARE (Clinical AI Reasoning Engine) foundation model and enterprise-grade aiOS platform are central to its strategy of delivering AI-supported diagnosis and treatment.

Aidoc received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in February for its CADt AI solution focused on rib fracture triage, one of two CARE-powered solutions now cleared.

“CARE compresses decades of roadmap into years—bringing forward a future where AI supports every patient encounter,” said Elad Walach, CEO of Aidoc. The company plans to invest more than $150 million in bringing CARE to market to support 100 million patients annually within 3 years.

The $150 million financing round was led by General Catalyst and Square Peg, with participation from NVentures, Nvidia’s venture capital arm, and 4 major US health systems—Sutter Health, Hartford, Mercy, and WellSpan—who joined as strategic investors. The round included a $40 million revolving credit facility, bringing Aidoc’s total funding to $370 million.

Aidoc’s aiOS platform enables real-time deployment, governance, and performance monitoring of both Aidoc and third-party AI solutions. “Today, 69% of our customers are running non-Aidoc models on aiOS, and we’re committed to growing that ecosystem,” Walach said.

With partnerships including AWS and Nvidia, Aidoc is also contributing to BRIDGE, a framework for guided AI deployment. CARE is expected to enable development of new indications up to 20x faster and cover 90% of clinically relevant diseases in the coming years.

“Aidoc is an important partner as we seek to fulfill our system-wide commitments to improve patient outcomes,” said Roxanna Gapstur, PhD, CEO of WellSpan Health. Aidoc’s platform helped WellSpan radiologists analyze over 200 000 cases in one year, significantly reducing diagnostic delays.
