Maricopa Ambulance Selected to Provide Emergency Medical Transport Services in Avondale

Maricopa Ambulance, a member of the Priority Ambulance family of companies, has been selected by the City of Avondale to provide 9-1-1 emergency medical transportation services following a competitive request for proposals (RFP) process. Service will begin September 7, 2025, with Maricopa Ambulance partnering closely with the Avondale Fire and Medical Department to deliver high-quality, timely emergency care to the community.

Avondale Fire and Medical operates out of five stations throughout the city, providing fast response to life safety calls. More than 80 percent of these calls are for emergency medical service (EMS), ranging from heart attacks, strokes and difficulty breathing to vehicle accidents and various types of injuries. The department provides advanced life support (paramedic) first response on every engine ladder company. Maricopa Ambulance will provide necessary patient transport services.

“Maricopa Ambulance is honored to be chosen as Avondale’s EMS partner,” said Michelle Angle, Vice President of Operations for Maricopa Ambulance. “We look forward to working closely with the city and Avondale Fire and Medical to ensure residents receive the best possible emergency medical care. As the city continues to grow, so too does our commitment to the people who call Avondale home.”

Said Avondale Fire and Medical Assistant Chief Justin Ernst: “This new partnership with Maricopa Ambulance reinforces the City of Avondale’s commitment to providing exceptional emergency medical services. We are confident that this collaboration will enhance our emergency medical transport response capabilities and ensure our residents receive the highest level of care they deserve."
