Jess Delaney Named 2025 James O. Page Legacy Scholarship Recipient

Leland, NC—Jess Delaney, Manager of Education, QA/QI, and Safety at Mount Sinai EMS, has been awarded the prestigious 2025 James O. Page Legacy Scholarship, endowed by Hartwell Medical, by the Fitch EMS Foundation. This national honor recognizes exceptional leadership, innovation, and commitment to advancing the future of EMS.

A former journalist who became a paramedic during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Delaney now plays a pivotal leadership role within one of the busiest EMS systems in the country. At Mount Sinai Health System in New York City, Delaney leads initiatives focused on modernizing training, improving frontline safety, and driving system-wide improvements through data-driven quality measures.

“Jess is a true example of the kind of impactful, visionary leadership that Jim Page stood for,” remarked Gary Williams, former president of Hartwell Medical, offering congratulations on behalf of the company.

Currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration in Emergency Management, Delaney is committed to building a more resilient, compassionate, and responsive EMS system.

As part of the scholarship award, Delaney will participate in a yearlong mentorship program with top EMS leaders, beginning at the Pinnacle EMS Leadership Forum, July 14–18, 2025, at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona.

The James O. Page Legacy Scholarship, endowed by Hartwell Medical, was created in partnership with the Fitch EMS Foundation. It honors the legacy of EMS pioneer James O. Page and supports the development of emerging leaders who are shaping the future of emergency care.

James "Jim" Page was a dedicated public servant who dedicated his life to serving others. He was one of the founding fathers of modern-day emergency medical services and mentored many EMS leaders today. The James O. Page Legacy Scholarship honors his legacy of excellence in patient care and public service.
