ATLANTA—AmeriPro Health, a provider of emergency services, patient logistics, and technology-driven healthcare service, announced the company has entered into a new agreement to provide emergency ambulance services in Blount County, Alabama. The contract, approved by the Blount County Commission, marks AmeriPro’s first operation in the state and establishes Blount County as the company’s launchpad for future growth across the Birmingham metro area and beyond.
Under the new agreement, AmeriPro will deploy four 24-hour ALS ambulances, supported by a quick response vehicle (QRV) operating Monday through Friday during peak daytime hours. The service will be staffed by a team of 25 EMS professionals—including 18 EMTs, six paramedics, and one supervisor who will oversee operations and staff the QRV. The new service is now live, bringing AmeriPro’s advanced clinical capabilities and state-of-the-art equipment to the local community.
Blount County, home to approximately 59,000 residents and covering more than 640 square miles in the Birmingham metropolitan area, has historically relied on extended transports to regional hospitals, including University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) facilities in the county and nearby Birmingham. AmeriPro's performance reporting, data analytics, and predictive modeling capabilities were key factors in the final decision, highlighting the company’s ability to adapt and shift resources as needed to meet the evolving demands of the community.
“Entering Alabama is a defining moment for AmeriPro and Blount County is the right place to plant our flag,” said Larry Richardson, CEO of AmeriPro Health. “It represents the opening of a new growth frontier for AmeriPro as we head into 2026, expanding our operational footprint and strengthening our position as one of the fastest-growing EMS providers in the U.S. As we grow, our commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care remains the standard guiding every decision we make.”
Blount County officials selected AmeriPro as their new EMS partner with a focus on improving response performance, enhancing transparency, and building a flexible system to adapt to changing needs over time. The previous EMS provider was Lifeguard.
“We’re pleased to partner with AmeriPro Health to ensure our residents receive the highest level of emergency care possible,” said Chief Tyler Seehusen, Chairman of the Blount County Ambulance Advisory Committee. “Their focus on data, efficiency, and long-range planning gave us confidence in their ability to manage a busy EMS system with large transport distances. We look forward to the positive change their services will bring to our residents and first responders.”
AmeriPro’s service model includes Wi-Fi–enabled ambulances, electronic patient care records, and digital connectivity tools to support seamless communication with hospital partners and local emergency management. By combining advanced technology with dynamic deployment strategies, AmeriPro aims to reduce current response times and build a more resilient EMS system for Blount County over the long term.
Established in 2018 in the Metro Atlanta area as a tech-enabled emergency service provider, AmeriPro Health has rapidly grown to more than 1,500 employees across 11 states. The company’s leadership team has more than 100 years of combined experience in emergency communications and has maintained a 100% 9-1-1 contract retention rate across every market it serves.
